Planning for a Visit with Santa

Home visits with Santa are one of the most popular types of encounters during the Christmas Season. The home visit with Windsor Santa gives you the opportunity for private visit with out the distractions of busy public spaces. Your child will have the opportunity to share with Santa their wishes for the Christmas Season, how their year has gone, and ask Santa questions about life at the North Pole. Many families prefer the home visit because they are able to include their family’s Christmas traditions into the visit. Some of these include bringing a small gift for their child or if the visit occurs on Christmas Eve, bringing the Christmas presents. There are a couple of home visit options:


Pre-Christmas Check In – This visit occurs before Christmas Eve and focuses on how your children are doing and what gift requests they have for Santa. A typical Pre-Christmas Visit is a surprise and let’s your child tell Santa about the good achievements they have accomplished that year. Santa will often pick-up any letters or gift lists that they that they many have ready. Some visits may include Santa reading a story or answering questions. You many also have a gift ready for Santa to bring to your child at this time. Details of this visit are customized to your family’s requests . Most of these visit last between 20-30 minutes depending on the number of children. Don’t forget to have your camera ready for photos.


Christmas Eve or Christmas Day Visit – This visit take place on Christmas. Santa brings the gifts that you have prepared for your family. Pictures with your children and family are central to this visit. Family members will always have questions for Santa and Santa is always willing to answer as many questions without giving away any secrets of the North Pole. Due to the popularity of this visit most visits last about 20 minutes, but the memories last a lifetime.

Confirm your Booking

Windsor Santa Claus will call to confirm your booking date, time and location with you about 7-10 days before the visit. You may wish to call confirm and insure that Windsor Santa Claus has the cell number where you or another contact for the visit may be reached on the day of the visit. Other details may be confirmed at this point of time.

Pre-Visit Ideas

Think about if you want just your children with Windsor Santa Claus or invite extended family or friends. Will this be a regular family evening or will there a party taking place. Let your creative planning help you to make this visit memorable for you and your children.

Santa's Arrival

Windsor Santa Claus will call on the cell number that you have provided. 


Please ensure that there is available parking available for Santa. 


Please keep  family members, and especially believers,  are away from any windows that would let them see Santa coming. Save the surprise for when Santa comes through the from door.

During the Visit

During the visit, take as many photos as you wish. these are wonderful memories for you and your family. 


Please provide a firm, large chair for Windsor Santa Claus. Preferably not a recliner, armless dining room style chairs are the best.


Place the chair away from any working fireplace. Santa is accustom to the Northern climate, however, placing the chair next to the Christmas Tree provided a beautiful background.

Santa's Departure

When it is time for Windsor Santa Claus to head back to the North Pole encourage the believers to listen carefully to the instructions that Santa gives to them. This will provide a memorable departure.

Post Visit with Santa

Many parents don't think about this, but a brief discussion with your children about the can be very helpful as you build family traditions. Let them look at the photos you have taken during the time and let them tell you about time with Santa. Don't forget to share any photos with Windsor Santa Claus from the visit.
